Walking the Battlefields: Antietam, Harpers Ferry & Gettysburg

Lovely weather and our expert guide made for the perfect combination to really bring history to life as we “Walked the Battlefields.” September is the most beautiful time to travel through the mid-Atlantic!

Our small group - all fully vaccinated - enjoyed private transfers all throughout Antietam, Gettysburg and Harpers Ferry. From what I could tell, being on the private charter with just our congenial group was fabulous and let us all focus on the fantastic presentations and be engrossed in this historical place. It was so wonderful to travel with Jeff Miller who expertly and graciously presented each day with zeal - and even elaborated in the evenings with slideshows. Just outstanding!

Throughout our time together, each detail was attended to, right down to having portable chairs arranged for all Connoisseurs guests to use at the many outdoor sites we visited on our interactive, guided visits. It is always a pleasure to bring to life journeys our team works tirelessly to craft — and our Battlefields journey was no exception.

  • Q: Can friends and family join the tour?
A: Yes! Spouses, friends, and family are welcome to join and typically comprise a large portion of every tour.

A: Our accommodations, meals and private events are carefully selected. We are traveling in comfort and style and have selected historic properties such as the Lansdowne Inn, The Bavarian Inn near Harpers Ferry, and the perfectly located Gettysburg Hotel.

Regional farm-to-table food is served throughout the journey and our experience culminates with a private evening with cocktails and dinner at the renowned Gettysburg Museum and Cyclorama.
