C'est La Belle Vie: Rhone River Journey
Loftus and I returned from our spectacular trip yesterday and I want to thank you for the part you played in making it such a glorious event.
Health and Safety: We felt safer in France than we do in the US. Without exception, one had to show proof of vaccination prior to entering any restaurant or museum or boarding public transportation. Mask wearing was mandatory and strictly and willingly adhered to by all. 42 passengers on the SS Catherine were tested for Covid-19 last Friday—all tests were negative.
Julian Brown: His professionalism, responsibility, and diligence in seeing that our every need was met was astonishing, his depth of knowledge was impressive, and his patience with the quirks and foibles of the travelers was truly admirable. We would travel with him again in a heartbeat.
Tours: We had the pleasure of participating in very special tours to gardens, collections, and vineyards that were both educational and thoroughly enjoyable. Our small group traveled easily and was given special treatment wherever we went—all thanks to the work that you and your team put in ahead of time.
Accommodations: Our accommodations were splendid — both at the Intercontinental Hotel Dieu and the SS Catherine. Masks were required and much appreciated. The food was enviable. Even on board the SS Catherine where I had thought we would see repetitions there was constant variety and appetizing fare for all. The attention that UniWorld gave to our one vegan traveler was astounding. Our cabin was incredibly luxurious, comfortable, and spacious.
All these points added up to a spectacular tour and we have returned with special memories and grateful that we chose to participate in this trip.
With many thanks,
Charbra Adams Jestin
