Iceland: Icelandic Sagas and the Aurora Borealis

This once in a lifetime journey to Iceland — with its black soils, magnificent glaciers, sublime waterfalls and rolling hills, and hot spring fed “canyon baths” — was an incredible backdrop to be immersed in the culture’s rich and extensive Viking history and booming food scene. It is with incredible excitement I recall the elegant metropolis of the country’s capital, Reykjavik, brimming with world-class museums and elegant restaurants, to experiencing glacier landscapes and digging into the rugged past of Erik the Red and Iceland’s Viking beginning. Honest-to-goodness: Iceland is not only a vacation, it was a true adventure.
